This was my very first acting gig somewhere around 1992 when I was living in Florida. It was shot in Orlando on the Universal lot.

I got to play Faith Hill’s best friend in her remake of Janis Joplin’s “Take A Little Piece Of My Heart”. When I arrived on set, the hair stylist said immediately, “oh - YOU’RE the one whose hair we have to straighten”. At first I was excited. I had never straightened my hair before - which at the time was down to my waist. It all seemed to be going well until the humidity hit me! By the end of the shoot I looked like Tina Turner and SWORE I’d never straighten my hair - or let anyone else straighten it - again!
